Hello! My name is Yvon Tran and I’m a Senior Product Designer at Paciolan, a leader in the live entertainment and college athletics industry. I currently work on our consumer platform from discovery of events all the way up to purchasing and managing tickets.
My design journey started at the ripe age of 8 years old when I first began making MapleStory videos on YouTube. Using YouTube videos, I learned how to graphic design, video edit, and even animate in elementary school. Throughout my younger years, I spent a lot of time utilizing these creative skills for fun whether it was for my school organizations, creating graphics for work, and even designing a not-so-pretty website for my dad's mechanic shop.
In college, I found that I LOVED learning about human behavior in my sociology and psychology classes, while also problem solving in my computer science classes. When I learned about what UX design was all about, it seemed like a match made in heaven and I have absolutely loved working in this space for the past 3 years!
I've been taking graduation photos in my free time since 2018! I'm also the go-to person that takes photos at any event or vacation with my friends.
I enjoy playing games on my PC, Switch, and PS5. I've mainly been playing Valorant, League of Legends, and Helldivers 2 for the past year (waiting until a cool console game comes out).
I have a crazy 2 year old corgi named Joji (like the singer) that can do a mean howl.
As someone battling the infinity gauntlet of autoimmune diseases (igA Nephropathy, Hashimoto's, ANA Vasculitis, and Sjogren's), I've become passionate about disability rights and accessibility in the design.
